A home inspection should usually take about 4 – 5 hours. Depending on special occasions, our home inspectors may even give you the exact estimate of how long the duration of the inspection can be stretched.

Note: For safety and expediting the inspection process, we recommend moving the young ones away from the site. 

Home Inspection incurs hardly 0.5% of the entire sum invested on buying or building your home.

No. It is not necessary for you to be present throughout the inspection process. However, we do recommend you to be there to experience the process being performed, and the machines and tools being utilized. It is also a perfect time for you to inquire about the processes, status of the home, defects currently being discovered, etc. You would finally have the entire report, and a walkthrough by the lead home inspector at the end of the inspection.

Upon successfully placing the order, we request you to share the below documents:

  • Property layout plan, also known as the ‘floorplan’, along with the dimensions
  • Approved specification of the items used in the property (typically, this is an addendum inside your sale agreement). Note: We would not require the complete entire agreement.
  • The electrical system charts
  • A no objection letter, or a letter of authorization undersigned by the owner or developer of the of the building, allowing our inspection services to perform the required procedures

The home inspection teams at QA Inspect has a combined experienced of more than two decades. Every inspector is well-versed with all the granular details of inspection and the equipment used thereof.

Most of our inspection is performed inside your unit. However, there can be common areas that we peruse outside the main entrance or utility area connected to your unit.

The reason majority of the times we do not inspect the common areas is due to the below reasons:

The common areas like the parking, under best practices, are constructed at the end. And, by the time we are called for inspection, it is still under construction.

On other times, the builder does not give access into the common areas simply because we are hired by the customer – the buying party.

A digital copy of the inspection report is communicated to our customers within 1-3 days, after the end of the inspection. In a few cases, if the report is delayed, adequate reason is provided to the customers regarding the genuine nature of the cause behind the delay. Also, please know that it is the first draft of the report, which does not actually mean it incomplete, however, that the report needs to be reviewed for easing on the technical terms by the senior quality inspector, so that the customer can fully make sense of the report.

We are afraid we have to say – no.  Home inspection is a specialized, rigorous, time-consuming, quality job associated with sophisticated tools and procedures. Yet there still a chance for a discount if all the properties are in the same vicinity, giving us the opportunity to save on the cost of transportation.

Yes, in order to access and run inspection on a property, we would require an authorization letter from the in-charge of the building. It can be the previous/current owner, or the developer/builder.

Upon the completion of the home inspection, the PDF copy of the report is communicated the customer and the concerned parties. This report shall be sufficient in every respect, containing pictures, and thorough explanations, insights of each defect discovered.

Yes, once we approve your inspection order, the fees need to be paid to the company’s account via any mode of payment – Credit, Debit, UPI, Cheque, or Cash. However, we endorse online payment prior to beginning of the inspection. Specifically, for cash payers, the fees must be given to the inspector. Not following the payment guideline, the inspector will have the right to revoke inspection and charge a small administrative fee.

We are afraid – no, because rectification conflicts with the nature of our inspection work. However, our inspectors would more than glad to share some of their experience to assist customers in making the right decisions.

Yes, absolutely, although home inspection service is a time-sensitive work that requires our inspectors to fully commit to one customer at a time, we may still be able to entertain your query calls – because customers are our priority even after the engagement circuit is complete.

Yes, in fact, there is a list of tasks that we prefer the customers to make it ready by the time we arrive at their property. However, it variedly depends on the type of property as well as the specific services. Hence, we request our customers to please contact us to know about all the prerequisites.
